Had to take my 89 pajero (1990 Montero) in for a inspection due to the body chop. Its an insurance issue. The truck failed for a couple of thing but one of them was the two rear mounts under the bumper. I told the guy it was a factory delete. His responce was there was a place to put them so they had to be there. Does anyone have any technical info on this. Not that its hard to put some in but I would like to show the guy he's wrong.

Body Damage is Cool
The 4 door ones has those extra mounts nothing attached to them. i still have them on mine. but the 2 dr they are part of the standard equipment. I would get the factory service manual and it shows all the body mount points.

Yeah they are on only on the 4 cylinder trucks, even the 2 door V6 trucks don?t come with them and usually the diesels have the same stuff as the v6?s. Tell that inspection guy he is a dumbass

my 89 V6 2 door had them. I cut them off when I did my custom rear bumper.
