Ok - My 84 Runner SFA with 3" Springs up front and 4" rear - Procomp Springs - Extended shakles....
Current suspension (front mostly) has seen its life... Springs are pretty much flat, I have a winch that I want to add to the front.
Wanting to beef up the front suspension for this...

I have been thinking of changing - let me know thoughts....
1) swapping current procomps on rear to front (i know alot run factory rear upfront). I assume I'd have to a banana shackle or possibly extend the mount...

Or
2)Go with a new set of fronts (prob HD) to compinsate for the winch... Prob Marlin/AllPro

3)Any other thoughts or suggestions???

Stock steering or cross-over/hi-steer? Makes a difference on what sort of springs (thickness) you can run up front.

This. And put them in the rear too. They will make a huge improvement in ride and flex over the procomps!

**I'll prob go this route - just for the winch weight - its a heavy SOB <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

**Currently - Stock push/pull w/ extended draglink...
Though - not against cross-over/hi-steer...

She's pretty much set up for off-road use only - lol..

*Decently enough the procomps do flex well - maybe a lil too soft thou - rears wanna wrap if I start to get in it... But fronts have flattened out..

hhhmmm Either that or build a 90's model Runner - SAS etc...

So many Yotas so little time....
