Getting the Wheeling Fever
I was wondering if anyone knew if the scraping noise that i hear when my engine warms up could be a bad idler pulley bearing? It sounded like my tc scraping against the timing cover but i checked and the guides are still fine.

Easy enough to check the pulleys. Remove belt and spin pulley, feel for excessive tightness, grittiness or looseness in the bearing. If found, you may be able to pop the bearing out, clean and re-grease it, or if too far gone, replace it.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
I havent had a chance to take the pulley off yet, but after i took the belt off the pulley would spin fine. But like I said earlier, the noise only happens after the engine has been ran for a few minutes. I did put a mechanics stethoscope and checked a few places before i took the belt off. You can hear the scraping noise the loudest by putting the stethoscope on the nut that holds that idler pulley on. If the bearing is not completely worn out, how do i grease it? Sorry if thats a dumb question.

Thanks for the help 4crawler!!!

Pop the bearing out of the pulley:

Then use a small knife to pry one of the seals out of the bearing (carefully, don't damage the seal, you re-use it), then clean and grease it:

I try to re-lube mine every time I change belts or otherwise have that part of the engine torn down. Or I carry some of the common size bearings if you can't fix it.
