So heres what I want to know. My goal is to tune the mixture on a new VAFM so its within spec. Can I reasonably run a short band or do I need to go to wideband? I'm not looking at getting too crazy wtih this. Whats a good setup? (aka suprathepeg, aka Sean) 89 v6 SWB truck "BLACK BEAUTY" EB valves, P&P head 30 over. 95 FZJ80. If you want to make it as close to 14.7:1 as you can, go narrowband. Wont help you if you're trying to tune closed loop. The non-wideband type cycle between lean and rich when at idle or when cruising, peg at rich when at heavy/full throttle, and work better as fuel economy monitor than a tuning one.
