I'd say you'd be losing if you tried selling it after repairs, might as well keep it and get your moneys worth. Cause you won't get that much out of it around here atleast.

... took it to a mechanic, crankshaft pully broke they cant reach it. got to drill it out and replace seals 1 gear, timing belt, etc...
so far worst case senario $1800-2000. depending on how long it would take to drill it out. about 500-600 in parts. rest or course in labor.

any opinions? makes me want to sell her after. i feel cheated on..
damn i got her for 4000.

$4000 how long ago? Did they provide their service records? Regardless, that's all water under the bridge at this point.

I agree with you and the rest of the guys. Selling it at this point would be fruitless because you'd be selling either a broken rig or one that should be very reliable since the key things to fix are already being worked on.

At this point, you can go over the front end of the engine and replace all relevant parts. I'd even hazard to suggest changing the pulleys and tensioners if they aren't quality parts since you're already in there.

Also, while it's drained, you may as well have them check the radiator for deposits and have it rodded if necessary (not replaced).
