OK, So I have my new "JCWhitney" Washer pump. I can SEE the old pump behind what appears to be a vacuum pump device ? and through a cut out in the fender. I have peeled back the fender liner but still can't figure out how to get at the pump. Do I take out the washer reservoir? and if yes- HOW?

any of you guys ever do this task? Any advise will help and thanks in advance!

Now I know why the dealership wanted $200 bucks to do it!

Click on the following link and in the upper left hand corner where it says "Part # Search", type in 8-97807-510-3

http://www.myisuzuparts.com

Click "Submit" and then on the next page, click on the camera for the Trooper on the 3rd line.

Looks like you'll have to remove #'s 116, 27, 42C and the electrical connector to the pump to pull the tank out... #116 and #27 are probably in the fender well.

A pretty easy task... just be careful you don't lose #25. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />

Van,

Thanks! I ended up never being able to get to the screw holding the front end of the reservoir (what was Isuzu thinking?). Using an assortment of extentions, a pair of 20" forceps, a few choice words and three advil... I managed to get the old pump out and new pump in. Yeah! after 2 years we have a functional window washer...

I moved on the 4x4 SOTF constantly blinking indicator issue. As per the posts I took off the vacuum SOTF actuator. About a half cup of really nasty fluid drained out. I could not get the "arm" to move via hitting the switch nor could I get much of a read on vacuum intensity inputs. It does make noise when I SOTF button is engaged and disengaged. I put it back and now the light does not blink when SOTF is in off position but now blinks when in the on position and still have no 4X4.... And I ended up hearing a fairly loud clank and what seems like a chatter coming from the hub so I'm about to bite the bullet and take it to the dealership for some spend some $$$$...
