Hey i drive 2002 Monty/Pajero wondering if anyone knows of websites selling full under carriage skid plates, and Rear bumpers that would i gues fit with a black ARB front bumper? thanks!

If needed i will post pics of it its just pretty much stock XLS right now but in next month or 2 should have 2 in spacers in and 33in Super Swampers, and 16in XD series HOSS rims. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Check out ASFIR skid plates. They're an Israeli company who IIRC make skid plates for the gen III Pajero's and are now being sold in the US. I know Sierra Expeditions sells them. Not sure if the gen III Pajero plates are being imported however...

2" spacers? Body spacers or coil spring spacers? If body, will this go between the body and front/rear drivetrain assemblies? If coil spring, what are you going to do to extend the stock shocks since they'll likely become the limiting factor preventing your lift extending to the entire 2"?

There are no rear bumpers...unless you can get Icy to make you one up.

Alright thankyou

And actually u cant put coil spacers on your front coils bc they will get pinched out or lower the car bc its a Mcpherson Suspension. So what im getting at is that in the front i have 2 1/8 inch Strut spacers(1/8in extra will explain in a sec**) and then heavy duty 2in coil spacers in the back.

**and 1/8 added bc monteros dont sag in the front bc more wieght is actually in the rear but it wil just looked more leveled. even tho 1/8in isnt noticable difference unless u measure it.

Technically, no its not McPherson Struts. The front struts on the Monty don't do the extra duty of pivoting with the steering. They would be better referenced as non-adjustable coil-overs.

Keep a good eye on the spacers you are using in the rear. It's already a VERY tight squeeze just to get normal springs in there.

How many miles are on your Gen3?

I would seriously consider replacing those springs...especially the rear. They tend to sack out around 100K.

You will need a 4 wheel alignment IMMEDIATELY after lifting it and I would have it checked again after 1000 miles.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
As others here have posted, there is no after-market production of rear bumpers available in the USA for Gen III's- have to go custom fab., or look into shipping one over from Australia ($$$$$$).

I ending up fabricating my own skid plates for the transmission pan and to replace the plastic OEM "plate". It was a low cost mod, when you DIY. I use 6061 for the flat, trans. pan and 5052 T6 for the sump plate (this one has a bend like the OEM plate). The 3/16 thickness has worked out well, not too thick so that it still bends when it gets bashed instead of tweaking the mounts.

Alright thanks im getting spacers put in monday so could i get springs after? and i was wondering since u have OME lift on your Gen 3 monty. Do you think i could put the OME lift or Ironman lift on with the spacers? so i can have 4 inchs?

idk what kind of lift OME is but Ironman lift is just bigger springs? and they are more heavy duty?
