Getting the Wheeling Fever
Im having a hard time finding anywhere around here that will build me an exhaust around here without a cat in it and the jerk wad that owned the truck before me cut off the exhaust at the header and shrank it down to what looks like scooter sized exhaust piping and ran a cherry bomb glass pack. Needless to say it sounds like [censored]! I am gonna use a flowmaster 40 series or a Hushpower like in my old Jeep cause they are slim and really easy to tuck up and out of the way. What size is the collector outlet and did you guys use a flex connector? Im not sure how much these engines flex and I dont want to break the new exhaust by cheaping out. Thanks.

The 2.6 likes back pressure. Seriously. Don't use big pipe.

You thinking two and a quarter or two inch? And I have since decided to use a high flow cat after research here and low gas mileage because the 02 sensors dont read right becasue they dont heat up without the back pressure not running a cat.

With a stock 2.6 a 2" exhaust is good. You do not want to be smaller than that. If it is made at a muffler shop with thick tube and crimped down bends you might want to run a 2? tube.

2.5 seems like overkill for a NA motor.

thats what i thought but wanted to make sure. thanks for the input. i wanna really maintain as much torque as possible and too little backpressure will decrease it.
