I'm going to be building a car dolly, and I'm trying to figure out how wide to make the tire catch plates (the part that the tires actually get strapped down to).
I figure that 12" should be wide enough, but should I go with 14" or 18" just to be sure?
This will be a loaner as well, so I have no idea what other folks may be towing with it...just trying to cover all the bases.
Thanks

Unless you're planning to strap down a dually, 12 inches wide should cover most vehicles.
