Getting the Wheeling Fever
have a buddy that has a 85 diesel trooper and the tranny died. Will the gas trannys from the 86 fit?

No, the transmissions are not interchangeable.

The bellhousing is different BUT THE GUTS will swap into your diesel case.

That, or just swap the bellhousings.

Oh, and the gas transmission MUST come from a 2.3 (good luck with that one).
