Is this an easy repair or it is like the trooper I owned and they have to be pressed on?
Hearing clunk when i back up and stop and feeling slight vibration.

i replaced mine by using a socket and drive them out and drive the new ones back in.

I do mine with a vise and sockets. My aim ain't so great with a hammer. I use the vise at work. In and out without bruised fingers/hand.

That was the method I was going to do, but the vise was about 3/4" short to fit the 2 sockets and ujoint

Getting the Wheeling Fever
You dont need a socket on both sides. Just get the joint in the vise and bang on the top most one with a socket and hammer. Then turn and repeat. Thats how I do it anyway.

1 socket & a vise will do..Once they are flush , use washers, or some thin spacer on opposite sides. Viola!..... you are done! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Nope, and if the C clip doesn't fit, sometimes they are a little too thick, go to Home Depot and there you will find a thinner one for less than $1.50.

Replacing the joints is a breeze.

Good luck, keep us posted on your progress.
