Like the subject line says I am looking to do a lift, 2" in the front and 2" to 2.5" in the back. I have an 87 Dodge Raider with the 2.6 and am running 31x10's. I was going to adjust the torsion bars on the front for 2" and blocks in the back. The issue I am having is that I can not find any info on doing these two things anywhere on this site or any other forum. The first issue I am having is I can not seem to figure out which bolts to tighten to deal with the torsion part. I am sorry but I am pretty green when it comes to suspention. The other issue I am having is that the leaf springs go under the axel not over it, so I am not sure how to add blocks. Is it possible to flip the axel over and around to deal with this issue? I am sorry if there is info on this stuff in the archive, but I could not locate it. Any help would be great. Thanks.

The serach function and I don't get along too well either, but if you look up username draider90 and look back 2-5 years, he did an awesome write-up. I got mine done in e few hours by myself using his. And I'm running 35's. Worked out great. [img][image] http://i598.photobucket.com/albums/...y%2015th%202010/HardrockMXMay15th143.jpg[/img][/image]

Okay so I did track down an older post by the guy where he explains some parts. I am curious if you did what he did with the -Shackle Kit, 2.5 in. Lift, Toyota, 4Runner 1984-85/Pickup 1982-85, Kit? No blocks or anything like that? Does the kit actually give you 2.5in lift, or more like 1" because it is set so far back? Here is the link I located. http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/showf...5&an=&page=&vc=1

I've done both body lift and suspension lift. Both are fairly easy. The rear suspension lift (with the Toyota shackles) gave me about 2" of lift. That was easy to install. The front suspension lift I cranked the torsion bars 1.5", that only took an hour. You may need a camber alignment afterwards. You find the roughly 1" diameter bars running longways under each side of the truck. Then tighten the 2 bolts on the back mount. The 2" body lift was straight forward with DRaider90's writeup about it. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

I was thinking about having some custom 9.5" shackles made. Do you think that would give me the 2.5" I want in the rear? I dont really want to do a body lift, just suspention.

You can also get add-a-leaf springs to add to the bottom of the rear leaf spring pack instead of the shackles. I've used them; they are effective.
