Getting the Wheeling Fever
Hey guys I haven't posted on here in awhile, my Monty has been on the shelf since January with a bad rod bearing that caused the engine to seize. my truck has been sitting at my buddys shop since then and I have to either get it fixed or try to sell it/move it. If anyone out there knows of a 2.6 for sale please let me know. It's a beautiful truck, the carb is rebuilt and works phenomenally and there are no other issues with the motor except I am in idiot and was running thicker oil in the tahoe winter conditions. The truck only had 102000 miles on it and has beautiful baby blue paint ... Please get back to me or call me directly 916.420.3961 here is a photo of my truck:

My 88 2.6 SWB is headed to the scrap yard today because I can't find a decent motor or person to work on it.

CJ, still owe you those parts back...going on 2 or 3 years now?

Matt, since we've relocated, you'd have to come get either set up, but you're welcome to the short block in my gold parts car, Seaweed.

It is a waste, but when I can get more for it at the scrap yard than with a local buyer it's an easy decision. The roughly $500 will go toward rebuilding the 6g72 in my 89 SWB.

I have a block from a Dodge Caravan. You would need to fabricate one motor mount since this block, although it is a g54b, is setup for FWD. I've also heard that only 3 of the 4 bolts will fit the transmission bellhousing. Anyway, the block has been rebuilt (bored .5mm over) at some point and seems to be in good shape. Has a silent shaft delete kit, timing chain, cam sprocket, and all the internals. You can have it for FREE if you can use it. You could even use your block and the internal parts of this one. Let me know.

Good grief! I have two engines sitting on a shelf, both runners, but they both could use some lovin. One has the webber, one is all stock. Also, i would almost road trip down your way to look at yours with a tow dolly, and drag it home if you were going to sell it as opposed to scrap it. I love those older bodies. Anyway, let me know, as i have some old school bumpers for russell that I need to move down that way as well. Ever consider a diesel engine swap? I know a guy who does them.....

You ought to PM him so he gets it in a timely manner. Hopefully he hasn't killed it yet.
