I am looking for some information. I have a 91 Toyota pickup with a 22RE and a W 56 transmission. What year of trucks will the transmission interchange with?

Marlin's page will give you some ideas: http://www.marlincrawler.com/transmission/rebuilt-completeThe W56 has a few versions, main difference is what type of t-case is bolted to it, either top or forward shift (yours is likely forward). I think the forward shift version started being used in the '89 22RE pickups

car-part.com can be helpful too. If you look carefully you can see that it gives you access to the kind of exchange info that junkyards use. You have to read between the lines a little bit though. -- Matt
