Other then the line that goes from the canister to the fuel tank, where do the other lines go? Vent to atmosphere? One reads AC and another reads to carb (I have FI and no AC). Another question, What are some possible problems I could encounter if I was missing a separator tank (the one that attaches to the underside of the body not the fuel tank on the passenger side? Any help would be appreciated!

AC is air cleaner, and that line goes to purge control solenoid on the dside firewall, then from there to TB. ECU turns on the solenoid when it's time to vent the canister. Carb line is blocked off (that one goes to the fuel bowl on a carb - not needed with fi). The tank line comes thru a noodle bowl of lines, an overfill valve, a two way valve, some seperator tanks (condense out some fuel vapor and drain the liquid fuel back to the tank) and a mess of hoses.

If the AC line is vented to atmo, so are the fuel fumes, instead of being burned up in the engine. It wastes some gas to run unhooked. And pollutes the air, adds to ozone...

Man do I feel silly! the AC not making any sense to me!I guess that explains the fuel smell that I occasionally smell. The reason I ask is cause my truck would sometimes die(rarely) and I could not figure it out, I bet it has something to do with that.(fingers crossed) The nipple on the solenoid that was suppose to go to the canister was open. Dunno thanks for help it makes much more sense now!
