93 SR - Transmission Harness Question #1032298 07/29/11 03:32 AM

Had my truck disassembled for a while. Now that it is going back together I cannot find the location to where to plug one wire harness connector on the transmission. It is a square 4 wire connector that is color coded (inside) purple. Any ideas? Anyone have a wire diagram for that harness?

Thanks

Looking back at what few pictures I took and studying the area around the transmission, I've decided this part of the wire harness is not associated with the transmission. Don't no what it connects to at this point. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Shifter position indicator? Think the sender is on the shifter shaft on the pside of the tranny. I think the only other tranny possibilites (this is not the 'lectron shift model, right?) are the reverse light, and the 4wd and lorange light switches on the tcase. Wait, there's a pulse generator on the back side of the front output shaft on the tcase dside rear, too, and the tranny has the o/d electrovalve.

Possibly the rear O2 Sensor? I know on the 95SR the O2 sensors are part of the transmission harness at one point. Here is the 95SR pinout at the junction between the dash harness and the transmission harness...I don't know how it compares to a 93.

Sorry if it's a bit jumbled, I'm still trying to find a good way to post/convert an Excell file.

I have had this truck all disassembled for 2 years. Enough time for memories of the disassembly to be erased from this old mind. I'm used to the O2 Sensor wires coming down from the engine bay NOT down through the cabin floor....haha. Man!!! Had me chasing my tail for a long while!

Lesson Learned: More NOTES and more PICS!

You are right on with the O2 Sensor SRTNate. Didn't see your post before my last reply. Bundling the O2 wire with the transmission harness really confused me. Figured it out when I started install of the exhaust and saw the sensor location. Thanks!! I'll save your PIN OUT data for later use.

Nate has a ton of pinout info for the 89 and 95 if you need more.
