Getting the Wheeling Fever
Guys, my Monty was broken into a few months back and now I'm in need of the console for the radio.

They also got a bunch of other personel stuff, I'm an EMS pilot in Oklahoma, and the locals can tell when we leave the base, pretty hard to not notice a helicopter taking off at 2am. They broke in while I was out on a mission saving someones life, how low can they get.

I really just need the center black piece. I've tried my local Pull-a-Part for the last few months, but ever since the cash for clunkers ended, monteros are not being sent to the scrappers around here. Thats a good thing I guess, but makes it hard to find parts.

Anyhow, here's a pic of what the bastards did to her <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shiner.gif" alt="" />. ignore the BBQ sauce <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

I've got friends in Norman OK. I always liked visiting there....But that was a couple of girlfriends back...Moving on to your problem; I believe willwinchforfood was making custom bezels at one time. Maybe you could PM him & see if he still has any.

Body Damage is Cool
I have replaced mine many, many times due to break-ins. I have picked up 3 of them. Each time I got them they came from a Mitsu dealer. If I recall correctly the bezels were about 20.00 each. My last break in was when I lived in Oklahoma last year. I bolted my stereo to that bracket inside so they just took the face plate. Nothing else, just the face plate

I make the plates. I am on an iPhone on vacation so someone else will have to link my thread with the info. I think I have one already cut to fit that opening.

Looked it up. Nice work. What opening type do you have available? What are these made of? How do they attach?

I always try to use as many of those bolt holes as possible. They don't always line up on every receiver, though, especially if a stereo has been ripped out of it before. I also dig through some bolts to try to find different fastener types, just for fun. Everybody LOVES having to break out the torx, allen, philips and hex head sets, right?

Thats not the correct link. Here is the one with the triple gauge cut out.

I can not find the regular cut outs, but what you do is mount the radio to actual cage and mount the bezel at the corners. As far as what they are made of I can not remember.

Maybe mount the next stereo under a seat with a remote control. Just put gauges in the dash/console opening??
