On my 86 Toyota truck 4x4 2.4 With A/C what's the quickest way to replace the heater core?

Pull the dash, looks complicated but not really that bad.

To add, a sharpie and some cardboard to punch down your screws with where they're supposed to go. And a LOT of patience.
How do you know your core's bad? The piece that comes thru the firewall rots out too; not uncommon on the older trucks.

Kewlynx, last January had a similar leak onto the rubber mat on passenger side.Tightened down the hose clamp by the firewall and no more leaks.A week ago the leaks inside the floor board returned, tightened down both clamps but early this morning after a short drive and turning off the engine I turned on my flashlight and anti-freeze was dripping over the hump onto the floormat.Someone else will be doing the work.Aren't those other tubes discontinued by Toyota?

Well that's a bummer. Aren't those other tubes discontinued by Toyota Couldn't tell ya; mine on the older jalopies are working fine. You definitely will want to have them looked over while it's torn down. Don't ferget to burp the baby when you're finished!
