Help me out NC fellers. I'm attending a WIX training thingamajig in Gastonia, NC until Wednesday morning. I've got several NAPA expense cards at my disposal and we need some ideas on where to blow some money having a good time. Anybody that would like to serve as a guide would be included in aforementioned having of good time. Most of ya'll in this area have my cell number, so shoot me a text and I'll bring the group and said cards...

Reuben is in the Charlotte area IIRC. He doesn't seem to be on here much anymore, maybe PM or email him?

hmmm Gastonia, The only thing I know about that area is the over abundance of speeding tickets. Easiest way to spend money in that town.

I don't know much about the night life though!

there is not much of anything in the gas-house. spend the extra 15-20 min drive and go to Charlotte where there is plenty to do. what kind of stuff are you wanting to do?

THere is one heck of a fabric store there, if that interests you. My wife and daughter and the seamstress all went to Gastonia to buy the wedding dress woven gold (it was white of course, just cost like gold). Sort of like DIY "Say Yes to the Dress". SHould be right down your alley....

Funny you mention that, Eddy (funny ha-ha not funny queer). As a matter of fact, Jack Wix started his filter business in Gastonia because it was the textile scrap capital of the country. And he swept the mill floors to collect the strings he would use in the very first fluid filters. After having toured their manufacturing and distribution facilities, I can attest that they've come a long long way from stuffing string in a canister...

So Larry did you make it to the fabric store or not.

If so, what did you buy, how many yards, what color, what pattern? Are you going to do the sewing yourself and the last question (I promise) what are you making?

I really didn't know you where a seamstress, you NAPA guys are amazing.

I was thinking he could make something out of the insides of Wix filters instead.

I kid.
