Getting the Wheeling Fever
1994 T100 3.0L V6 5 speed manual

I now have a broken leaf on my right side ( the center leaf) rear spring. These spring have always been so bad not sure why it took 17 years to brake one. About 3 years ago I added some helper springs on the top. They did level things out at least but, it was not really a solution.

Can anyone recommend a reasonable replacement spring which will work so I can fix the broken one and get rid of the helpers? These stock springs are really weak so, others must have found a replacement somewhere.

The truck only has 125000 miles on it, everything works fine and I would like to keep it. There really isn't a like truck like the T100 any longer.

The stock springs were made soft so it wouldn't ride like a truck.

Is this a 4WD or 2WD? I would git some used T-100 springs and then add in the Roadmaster Active Suspension setup. Better than helper springs.

Just make sure you offset the LSPV lever by the same amount that it lifts the rear end. It's an easy part to fab up and bolt in place. BTW...I do have a spare set of Roadmaster springs I'd be willing to let go fer $150 shipped.

My T100 is 4WD with the 8 foot bed.

I have found several places on the web but they all seem to have stock springs (3 leafs). If they were stronger steel that might be okay but, how would I know.

I hate it when the try to make trucks ride like cars. Want a car, get one. I don't expect my Subaru to haul concrete.

Anyway, since the stock springs went 17 years before the first broke, they will do if it's all I can get.

I would buy a new truck now but I can't get one with an 8 foot bed, small engine and 5 speed manual trans so I am going to keep the T100 for 10 more years if possible. I drove an f150 with the v6 and 6 speed Auto. Just not basic enough for my needs. The new tundra is also a big fire breathing monster. I want a light truck which can haul a 4X8 sheet of plywood.

I just looked at the Roadmaster web site. I guess it would would work but I would rather just have better springs. I really don't care about soft ride issues. If it's stiff when empty I don't care. It's a truck and I like simple. I don't really want to go with active suspension stuff.

When I put the fiberglass cap on the truck it was never level after that until put on the helpers. Would the Roadmaster spring do the same thing. I would really prefer better steel or another leaf if possible.

A 63" chevy spring swap would prob be a good option.
Or go to a local spring shop and get a custom set made to your preferences.

Just get some made, probably worth it. I have an extra leaf in my pack and they were rearched. I had at least 1500lbs in the bed and another 2000 in a trailer today and while she sagged pretty good (5 inches away from bumpstops/frame) it hauled it like a champ.

Body Damage is Cool
I've been running a set of stockish length Alcans for about 8 years. They've been great. Alcan was real pleasant to work with, fairly quick as I recall, also.
