I know this place isn't too active these days, but I also know there are a few old timers that still check in here. Not sure if many will remember JGalt on here. He won the Carnage award at Moab Zu Zoo a few years ago for breaking off his output shaft on his Rodeo.

Anyway, it's been a few years since I had seen him, and in that time he had SAS's his Rodeo with a custom 4 link set up f/r. He had a custom Dana44 built by retubing a Ford hi-pinion diff to use Waggy axles. The main problem he had was that he got talked into using air shocks instead of coilovers. These trucks are too heavy for air shocks IMHO. not to mention they aren't street legal in our state.

Anyway, rewind to June, and I run into him at a local Home Depot. Get to talking and he tells me he's lost desire for the hobby, and just wants to get rid of Panzer (his nickname for the truck) I tell him I'd be interested and to give me a call if he decides. After 3 months or so, he calls and we work out a deal.

Now, I own Panzer, a nicely setup SAS'd Rodeo. I got an amazing deal on it (THANKS JIM!!! ) I still have work to do so I can make it street legal. Mainly will be converting to coilovers. I am working with Bilstein and Fox to try and figure out what valving, and spring rates they suggest. Not sure which coilover I'll go with just yet, but I"ll get that figured out. I will also have to wait until money is available to buy them....seeing as they aren't cheap.

Anyway, thought I would share with some of you ole' timers that might still lurk at this site

Here is what it has already on it.

What it has.
SAS....custom 4 link (not quite dual triangulate)
custom D44 with ford high pinion retubed to fit waggy axles
Sway -a- way air shocks (will get changed out to coilovers)
dual ARB's
Quick Aire 2 compressor
35x13.5x15'' Toyo M/T's
Teralows
5.13 gearing
~92,000 miles
New red top Optima
CD player w/ 10 disc in back
CB radio
trailer brake controller
OBDII scanner included
Dealership service manuals/service bulletin books
receipts for the work done

The bad, is the 3'' body lift will be very difficult to remove...seeing as some of the crossmembers are built up into that space..but it's still on my list to remove if I can.
Paint job is needed
air shocks....not street legal here.

Now for the pics.

Congrats!

It certainly looks like you could afford to take 'er down 3"...I like to keep the COG as low as is feasible.
