tried doing a search for a post awhile back where somebody mentioned a sensor i need to resolve my cold weather starts. epic fail... then again i did see a post from forcedairmontero about us going to old works. so the temp falls, she cranks and cranks with no start. warm weather, shell sit for weeks and fires right up. so its the cold, not my cranking power... pleanty of it, just no start. i think it might have been the engine temp sensor, but my memory isnt so good. she always starts, just doesnt want to when its cold... even less so when its brutally cold. i did do a search with a nogo so im back to ask again... thanks in advance .

It's the ecu engine temp sensor, on the thermostat neck, two wire connector, contact blades on the sensor in a tee shape, and they point forward.

It seems to pick up everything. Then that means you need to narrow your search by adding more search terms or changing the original terms to something more accurate.

You just have to know how to use it, which apparently is very difficult to figure out.

Glad you figured it out Mike. The search is harder when you don't know the right terms and I doubt anything but the human mind could figure out the right answer if you don't use the right words to search for . Also, I found its easier to search for terms in the body of the post rather than just the title. Try it once more using [color:"blue"] +sensor +start +cold [/color]for your search terms, in the body (not just the title) and within the past 5 years. A bunch of stuff def comes up about cold start problems posted which probably has what your looking for.

ive always had a hard time using the search feature. every site seems to have little difference to get the best results. thought i would just repost with my preverbial tail tucked since the old skool guys here wont flame you, theyll just answer the question again (in my case, while berating my direct assault on proper english ). just another testomony about why this has the best group of guys in any forum anywhere. here, its jumped right on and solutions are presented... in the jeep forum, not so much. you post a question and get "crickets"... i cant get an answer about anything. for guys so attached to their brand, theyre either unwilling or unable to give any kind of answers.
