I just did a google and it looks like advance has them, autozone used to, and auto parts warehouse had the e8000 for around 80bucks.
Airtex/master is a big oem and aftermarket mfr.

I've got the Master, never had any trouble with it. As for the fitting, I simply used a black iron pipe reducing bell coupling.

I run run a Master E8000 on mine. It's not a bad pump, although I had to replace it last summer (in a damn school parking lot).
Interesting note: Auto Zone replaced the original for nothing seeing that it had a lifetime warranty. The replacement only has a one-year warranty.
87 Montero, bought new, by me - 88/89 intercooled Starion Turbo engine- with awesome audio.

Turbine pump ... To make it a good air pump it needs to have a lot bigger wheel and vanes. The problem is then its a really bad liquid pump since the load on the motor is very high when liquid hits the blades.
The roller / vane type pump is a positive displacement pump. While it wont move a lot of air, it will still pull a decent vacuum.
