Getting the Wheeling Fever
I can't seem to figure out for the life of me how/where I can run wires from the engine compartment into the interior. I need to figure this out to run wiring for lights and other items. If there isn't a good spot from the factory, are you guys drilling holes somewhere? If so, again where?

If you have any pictures I'd greatly appreciate it!

I drilled through, I think under the brake booster. I will take a look when the sun is back.

Sure there's a OE hole in the firewall on the driver side. You'll have to push your wire through though which isn't easy but it's doable. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

There's a rubber grommet in the firewall where the harness goes through and there is one behind the kick panel too but you'll have to take off the inner fender to route the wires. All still pretty easy.

I did as Charlie did, put in a rubber grommet ran the wires, plug it with body putty.

I might just have to drill. I looked by the passenger kick panel where the ECU is and there is a huge wiring harness that runs through there. But it is so tight that I'm afraid I'll ruin a wire. Plus, there just isn't enough slack to run multiple wires in the future.

I'll look forward to the picture.

Looks like I did drill through and now that I look at it, I never sealed the hole once the wires were run trough.
The yellow cable is the bundle I have added, I am trying to recall where the dealer added fog lights passed through, I tend to think it might be where my wires are.

Isn't there a extra unused nipple on the main harness grommet like the gen1? I think I used one on my 95.

Thanks Charlie. Can you get a picture from the firewall side as well? I'd like to see how far down it is? Also, was this drilled from the bottom of the car or from the top?

Thank you sir.

I could not see a way to get a picture from the engine compartment, the hole is just under and to the inside of the brake booster.
If you fold the top of the carpet down just under the brake pedal you will see a punch out in the sound deadener, Once you look there and reference the picture I sent you should get a good feel of where I found to pass wires through.
