Yes I have come across the problem that others have had, which is one of the tiny hex (allen head) bolts/screws that hold the outside hub assembly on stripped the head (or how ever you want to put it). I was fortunate it stripped when I was tightening it down. And I didn't muscle the thing, I was just getting it tight trying to be careful and sure enough it the hex bit socket just kept spinning.
I have had issues with the inner larger hex head bolts coming loose, and when I got to work I noticed there was a nice sized gap between the inner hub assembly and the outer. So during my lunch break I went out and took the outer assembly off and tightened the inner bolts down. A snap ring (forgot the name of it) was sitting in there loose, I can't remember if that was left over from removing the auto hubs or what. The other snap ring was still attached. Anyway when putting the outer hub assembly back on the one tiny hex/screw bolt stripped.
So I was wondering what my options were? I am guessing it will involve drilling out the old screw, but that would have to be a tiny drill bit. Or maybe wait for the screws/bolts to get worked loose again and see if I can get it out. I don't know, any ideas? And as far as the loose snap ring goes my mind is drawing a blank. Its been at least 2 years since I put the hubs on and I only remember removing/installing one snap ring per side.
EDIT:Thinking back that I am thinking there weren't any left over snap rings. I don't know how it came off, but I guess now that the bolt is stripped it will have to stay that way till I can get the hub cap back off.
