Will you miss this particular mitsu 4x4? I say good riddance!

I was never a fan of this large, bland "SUV". It was never a proper North American replacement for the Pajero. And from what I've been reading, there are still no immediate plans to bring in the L200's or the Pajero's. That means we're going to have to keep the old ones running, fellas!

Phil your link is messed up.

IMHO, if Mitsu can sell them then bring them in. Especially if it will help support mitsu also having marque cars here they don't sell so well like the Pajero.

The [color:"red"]ONLY[/color] thing the Endeavor had going for it was the cute girl in the commercial, moving provactively to the beat of the music. Nothing else.

And I'm sure you meant "proactively", right? Or was this a freudian slip, provocatively on display?

Heheh. Sorry. Didn't see the commercial, but it does sound more useful than the product itself. Maybe if we didn't know what we were missing out on, it would have been an inoffensive offering, but giving us this instead of the Paj or the cool pickups? Sheer lunacy. Not "proactive" at all!

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Regardless what most of you assume about the Endeavor, I actually have the pleasure of driving this vehicle on a daily basis. Sure it's not an off-road behemoth like the Montero, however it 0-60 times are great (7.3 seconds), it's super nimble and highly reliable... I've seen Endeavors with 300k miles still hauling balls. I hate to see it go as it's a decent SUV for those who intend of driving paved or mild off road situations.

TouchÚ! Good one! You are absolutely right: I was "ASSuming", and have never been behind the wheel: I am talking completely from out of my spare tire. My opinion is based purely on styling and market segment. And maybe a bit of bitterness stemming from the fact that this was fed to us as a viable "alternative". And you're also right in saying that most folks (aside from us fools on here) don't offroad anyway. I guess it's too late to give it a chance now, since it's been cancelled. Glad it wasn't as bad as I thought.

But don't be too high on the performance. Several of my Monteros could do 0-60 in 17.3 seconds. Except maybe the 2500 diesel... that may have been low 20's... Oh, wait a minute... you said 7.3? ...ahem...

(On the upside, maybe there'll be room now to bring back the Paj/Montero?)

I am more concerned as to the future of the Evo. I don't see it going hybrid, but I do remember a concept car they have that has a high performance turbo diesel...

Last I heard Mitsubishi was considering bringing the Montero back as soon as 2012 and also considering the Triton/L200 as well. If that were the case I don't know which I would buy, perhaps the Triton?

P.S. No hard feelings on the Endeavor beat down, anyone who hates can kiss my lol
