The only way to prevent this is to pump the gas real slow! like 4 times slower than normal . Is there any way to correct this? It could also be a kinked filler hose. My son had the exact same problem with another car; the vent line was clogged....and it was a hell lot more a problem to access it than with the Sporty. Pull the tank off and blow the vent line , the one beside the filler pipe.
