You can get it pretty close in the driveway with a tape measure (or simply a board and a pencil).. It's not hard at all. Close enough to not cause wear on the tires anyway.

I wanted it done properly , and figured the dealer could get it seeing they know all the specs. It was 120 , so not too bad considering some places charge upwards of 140.

Got tired of looking at my rims and how the chrome is peeling on them. So I taped up the parts that are gold as that is still in great shape , and am going to paint the rest of the rims black , keeping with the black and gold theme of the limited. I bought some zinc chromate primer as it said it is made for rims. I sprayed the rims and the primer is a bright yellow lol. I will pick up some different primer as this stuff does not fill in the scratches , which I want to fix the spots I had to take sand paper to get the peeling chrome off. Once that is done I have some black rust paint to apply. Here are some teaser pics with the yellow primer on

Once the black is on I think they will look good with the black and gold.

When the weather gets decent again I will start to install them , it has been raining non stop the last 16 hours and supposed to rain all week. I kind of like the color that they are , being a darkish grey , almost same color as the jeep interior. The plan was to paint them the same goldish color as the rims and trim on the jeep so they stand out on the hood , but now I am having second thoughts of leaving them the grey. The paint on them is in perfect condition , the drip pans are there as well , so it would be just a matter of cutting the holes and putting them in.

What do you guys think would look better on the hood , the grey that they are or the gold trim to match the black and gold of the limited??
