Need a Spot
hey they guys,

I am new to this forum so just posting a few questions before I start my transformation to true 4x4 enthusiast. I currently own a 1989 isuzu bighorn(trooper/holden jackaroo) UBS17 LWB with the 2.6L petrol motor in it. I was looking into doing a 2" suspension lift and a 2" body lift. Are there anything things that need to be extended or moved when doing the suspension lift? I will be doing it by replacing the rear leaves and winding up the torsions. Also does anybody know if I will need replacement shocks for this sort of lift? any help would be much apreciated.

Regards Jared

I would contact Matt Brown at Independent4x.com. He is very knowledgeable not only on what is needed to accomplish what you want to do as well as being the best source for pieces and parts to accomplish the upgrade.

Body Damage is Cool
No need to change shocks on the front when cranking the t-bars. I would suggest that you pop the droop stops out and cut them down to about 1/2 inch(13mm). This mod is free and will let the front suspension drop down a little more. In the rear I doubt that you will need to change the shocks either, but depending on how you lift it you may. If you go with a simple add a leaf and a longer shackle I wouldn't worry about changing the shocks.

1987 trooper LS.'94 3.2, SAS,35's , lots of dents and rust. Now, improved, with more dents.
1995 trooper LS. Wife won't let me improve this one.
1996 trooper. I'll need something to modify when the '87 finally rusts away.
