I thought there were two versions of the part? Still not sure which one I would need if that's the case. I made a block off plate and tried it...still no OD.

The first # is out of the mitsu/raider factory service manual.. The second was off the box of the replacement my mechanic got for me.It came thru toyota. Try the wire for a used one.
As far as the by-pass plate, take out the smaller "O" ring....the fluid needs to flow thru the 2 holes that are separated by the inside "O" ring.

OD on my truck stopped working. I was able to dig out the sealant on top of the solenoid and found that the ground wire was broken. Its a big fat wire that goes into the solenoid but the internal wires are something like 26 gauge. I had to resolder the wire to the body of the unit, if I remember correctly, and it worked fine. Use RTV to refill the area where you remove the sealant. Dig slowly and carefully as well. If you mess any connection up you can just resolder it when everything is apart. John

It's possible that the clearance after the plate is tightened isn't allowing sufficient fluid to pass between the ports.
Here are the options I see:
1 make a plate that has a "dome" in it to allow fluid to pass
2 repair your's per instructed by willwinchforfood
3 get the used 1 from mxmikie & drive on
I chased this problem for about 2 months.Replaced the solenoid & have been driving w/ no issues for 12,000 miles now.
Good luck!
