My younger son is driving our old 4 Runner this winter. He recently blew out one of the brake lines - rusty. He repaired it and all is well but now the brake light is on. Any clues on how to re-set or turn off the light?

Have him check his STOP fuse. It's probably blown, esp if he also does NOT have any brake lights. Make sure the fluid level in the reservoir is adequate as well.
Might also take a meter quick and make sure the switch in the cap is still okay.

It fixed itself. He has driven it for a day and says the light is now out. Maybe just needed time to let the switch slide the other way. Not entirely sure how they work but it no longer really matters.

Make sure the brake fluid is to the MAX line in the MC reservoir.
Is this how he bled the brakes?
