I've tried setting it as stated in fsm but doesn't have much power unless I disconnect it. Am I hurting the transmission by disconnecting it? Is my problem elsewhere? When adjusting cable, what increments should I use? Absolutly Yes. This controls pressure on your clutch packs, and you will burn them out if you run it disconnected. Quote Is my problem elsewhere? Yes Quote When adjusting cable, what increments should I use? I'd do it exactly like the FSM says to. Check fluid levels exactly as the manual says to also. My Transmission throttle cable is definitely broken at the crimp where line meets bracket on intake manifold. My tps is questionable.
