Getting the Wheeling Fever
|
While driving down the highway my steering started to get stiffer. I get home and the tubing is completely severed at the flare. I decided to go with the russell proflex hose as a replacement because i figured that would be eisier for any future replacements instead of the preassembled frankenstein tube/hose that mitsubishi initially had. The only problem I have ran into is i dont know what adapter to use to go from the stock power steering pump with the flare fitting to -6AN fitting that the proflex hose ends use. I think it may be this one but am not sure. This is the part number for the russell adapter 670521. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

mitsu fitting will be untapered british pipe thread, measure old one to find diameter. May be easier to fiddle with the line to get a little slack toward the pump, and reuse the old fitting with a double flare on the line. NOTE, if you drive it, you will burn up the pump...
