They have about 71hp and 100tq That makes the 2.6 a beast of a motor lol


1997 Montero LS with a motor swap a 1990 V6 12valve ported heads full 2.5in Ex I run stock tire size for Daily use, off road have 33x12.5 working on going trubo.

I stand corrected on the OM603, as I've never owned or worked on one....plenty of experience with the OM617!

Probably can't squeeze the 603 in the "stock" engine bay cause of the extra cylinder...but with a little creativity it will definitely work!

Put this into perspective by comparing specs with my 4D56T Pajero, which is pretty dog slow:

Intercooled Turbo (TD04 watercooled Turbo)
Power - 78 kW (104 hp) at 4,200 rpm
Torque - 240 NÀm (177 lbÀft) at 2,000 rpm
