A buddy of mine (Jimmy C. & wife Sang) just got a very clean well kept pre-90 2.5D Pajero.

Wondering who he has for support in the area.....I've told him how great the community is on here so he should post up shortly.

Specifically I'm wondering if anyone has put the rear discs or done a rear axle swap on these (leaf springs) that would help him get the locker and discs.

I've done the swap on my 90 SWB but it has coils and my diesel came with discs.

Any help out there??????

I did that swap on my leaf sprung. What details do you need? Look for my post, not a full writeup but some pictures

1988 MONTERO SWB 2.6L 5SPEEED MANUAL, 96SR LOCKED REAR, 8INCH FRONT LSD FRONT, AISIN MANUAL HUBS, CUSTOM F & R BUMPERS, ROCK SLIDERS, TUBE HALF DOORS, 9K WINCH, HOMEMADE SNORKLE, SOME OTHER STUFF.

There is a very active Pajero Club of Thailand (part of the larger Weekend Hobby forum).
