Yeah, i havnt delved deep into the situation yet..this problem and on top of that one of the brackets on the starter snapped off and so decided to call it quits for the day before i cause anymore problems, haha.
The black was resurfaced and the head only had around 3k miles on it or so i was told. So, that should be fine....

did you put a square or any flat and level to check if it was flat? and sorry to hear it can be frustrating. . bracket on starter ? ive got to put my crossmeber back in and fill her up with oil and see if it was truely my problem

Check the block with a flat piece of steel...cant remember for certain on the head but i believe so.
Bracket as in....where the bolt threads into the starter housing half of that broke off. If that makes anymore sense...

yes it does. i put oil in and whent to start and noise was still there drained oil. pulled pan double checked everything as far as bearings. spin crank with ratch i get a pop pop ever hafe turn. double checked all bearings and was at a lose. reached over and touched the flywheel and it moved dam thing the bolts are backing out.

well funny thing is i thought i did. must have been <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/sleeping.gif" alt="" /> when i did it question is what is the easy way to get to them i dont have my hoist right now. so iam trying to figure a way to do it thats easy and not to painful
