I'm starting to fix up the inside of my 87' 4Runner. I was about to pull the headliner and redo it. I was expecting to find a headliner board which I could remove. But there wasn't. Do these 4Runners not have a head liner board. Or did the PO remove it?

Nope no backing board, just the vinyl, which is why they only end up with tears and don't peel away like so many older cars do. If it isn't torn up, you can repaint them using vinyl spray paint.

More than tread lightly. Leave it like you were never there, nor anyone else.
