 Engine/Transmission Bolt Patterns

I have an '86(?) Montero with a bad engine (spun bearing) and a 3-speed auto transmission. I also have a G54b engine which I feel confident I can get running well. One engine is a wide block and the other a narrow block.
How much of the bolt pattern will match between the two? That is to say, for instance, Can I get all but those two bottom bolts to match? Is it possible to re-drill some bolt holes for a better match? What are my choices?

none they are different wide and narrow do not interchange what motor is in the truck ???? 2.6 or 2.0 ????

Sorry. Guess I forgot that part. Both engines are G54b, 2.6 liter engines. They are the same engine, except that one is a narrow block and one a wide block. Is it 12 1/4 and 13 1/4? I can't imagine why Mitsubishi did such a thing.

To use a larger clutch...
Just use the good crank in the narrow block, or swap in a 4g63 2.0 or 4g64 2.4 fwd narrowblock.

b/s. plus you have help me ot more then once. we as in me thank you. as do others.
also if you dont want to mess with a carb go with the 2.4 narrow block or even the 2.0 plenty of parts for cheap the 2.6 stuff gets hard to find. en less you want to keep it as stock
