Body Damage is Cool
Guys, it has been quite a while.

Well, I have just aquired a new toy. A 1990 Mitsubishi Montero LS in optimum conditions, well, little deatils here and there to tinker with but just minor things which I will be sharing and asking about shortly.

It has 230,000 mmiles but is has been meticulously taken care of and the engine purrs like a kiten.

Very nice. Call me when you want to go shake her down on some light trails...

You all healed up yet, btw?

Nice truck!

Ditto, hows the arm? Still riding the bike to work? And how are the wife and kids? Ever get the turbo bits done?

Thanks all, it is a very nice truck indeed. I am going to do some little changes here and there but nothing major. It is running on 31s and I want to keep it that way.
The interior is in great shape, the front seats show a bit of color fading but it is only a little bit. The back seat is so nice that it looks brand new, you got to see the pics to believe it.

The rims are in great shape but the clear coat has lost its luster due to the wheel cleaner on every wash. I am going to sand them down and I am thinking on doing the black chrome, I know they will look awesome.

It has a Pioneer radio+speakers that compare ot my factory setup on my LWB 88 sounds awesome. The AC was changed from R12 to R134 and it is a meet freezer.

Larry, Eddy. thanks for asking, I am back to 95% and keep getting stronger. I am lifting weigths and exercising and enjoying every day with the wife and kids after such a nasty accident.
Now, my wife won't let me get on a bike again <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> Bikes for me are like that beautiful woman walking down the beach, I can look only from the distance, when my wife is not noticing, and don't even dare to touch <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

As for my turbo, Engine is ready on the stand with new pistons. I just need the fuel intake system + ECU. Now listen to this, while in Puerto Rico this past summer I learned that in the island they are using the intake from Honda, I am at the office and don't have the specifics with me, from certain years and they are welding the intake flange from the 2.6 to this Honda intake and also using the Honda ECU.

My friend in the island, is using a Holley 650, same as in my Mazda, with his turbo setup on a 1983 Monty and you got to see that sucker moving the 33" swampers <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" /> needless to say I was <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" /> HOLLY COW!!! And that thig was fast like a bat out of hell!!!
Yes, I also got pics of the Monty and video of the engine. The trusk is not pretty because its whole purpose is to get abused in the trails and the local drag racing mud track.

They are also using the fuel injection system out of the Mazda Protege. They use the factory Mitsubishi throtle body and assenbly but injectors and ECu from the Mazda. It works awesome and all for aroud $100-$150.

I am going with the factory setup since it is easier for me to find and i do not know the bits and pieces that the guys are using in PR. I would also do the Holley setup but i want to go factory first since this is my daily driver and gas mileage is an important factor on the setup.

Wow to much talking. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Sorry I have not been here in a while. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Got more <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" /> but later.
