Can you use regular 12mm nuts from anywhere or do you have to buy special nuts for it, lost a few and tried one from ace and it doesnt seem to want to go on, but the original from my old head just runs down perfectly. Kind of lost and head is supposed to be put on saturday so running out of time thank yall for the help

The thread pitch may be wrong. Take a stud with you to the hardware store for verification. There are no special nuts for this application.

Around here, the hardware stores aren't much help. Mitsu nuts and bolts are a fine pitch thread that the stores don't tend to carry. I would shop early and be ready to head to an industrial supplier of some sort.

Exhaust side are special locking nuts from dealer. Intake are plain vanilla.

You need to cut the webs between ports on exh mani and make sure the gasket surface is flat afterwards to keep from pulling out had studs.
