Getting the Wheeling Fever
My Gen 1 rear wiper motor off today, tested it, works great, same with the fluid pump. So I am attempting to locate the relay one step back before I get to switch. Anyone have a diagram they can email me or offer some input as to where I can find this darn thing? Switch seems to send power to something, I can hear a squeal at some location behind the passenger side front speaker, just can't locate it as it doesn't occur every time. Thanks for any help gentlemen!

You maybe younger and can run faster, but I am older and have been around long enough to know where all the shortcuts are!

Download the factory service manual (fsm) from mitsubishilinks.com and start reading the FAQ post at the top of the forum. The reason it's there is to tell you things like where to download stuff like the fsm.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Well, I have been to both places and searched before I originally posted. I found electrical for 1988, which I understand is different from the 1989? I have downloaded the 1989 Raider Haynes Service manual which has nothing in it about the rear wiper electrical, that I could locate.
I do not see a 1989 Raider electrical, and so I did download the Monty electrical info, which is not helpful in locating the rear wiper relay. I had searched and found previous post by Fasteddy replacing his entire rear harness, but found nothing on the location of the relay. I guess I am at a loss. Thanks anyways!

IIRC, passenger footwell sidewall. It's in the fsm harness diagrams for the 89 montero/raider...

Page 8-4 of the 89 FSM has the location (told you to check ). I didn't check the other manuals it's not too likely they moved it for your year although it is possible.

As far as anyone has been able to guess/check, the Raider and Montero's of the same years are identical except for some visual differences (paint/decal, badges, etc.).

That said, there is an 89 FSM on MitsubishiLinks. You should reference that and not the 88 although the 88 is probably close enough.

Found it in Box H? That is the rear intermittent correct? It doesn't specifically state it's the rear, but I will go with it! smile Thanks again Gentlemen!

87 did not have intermittent rear wiper. 88-later did have. Wiring should be same 88-91. I swapped an 88 rear door onto my 87, and had to do a rewire to get the intermittent function. Lots of fun...
