95 4Runner - the channels that hold the glass in the tailgate have rusted out again.
Ordered new ones today but the little nylon wheel that rides in the channel has broken on one side.
Anyone had this issue and solved it?
the nylon wheel is not available separately. I would have to buy the whole regulator and that would be expensive and a pain to swap out.

Might see if you can find one at a junkyard or check out a good hardware store that carries parts for sliding glass doors and drawer glides and things like that. See if something they have is the right size. Otherwise, can you measure the inner and outer diameters and width of the wheel? If so, should not be too hard to find some round stock of the right size and cut off a piece for a replacement wheel.

The job has been accomplished.
Found some small rollers at Home Depot intended for a shower door that were just a little bit too big. Used a jig in the drill press with a sanding drum to remove a bit and they worked fine. They also came with a threaded center and a screw and had about the right offset. We ground off the rivet on the old ones and bolted these in.
Was nice to wrap it up do easily.
