So im going to be using a 16ft penske truck with one of their tow trailers for my honda accord...im thinking im going to be playing it safe and take I5 through Cali then I10 into texas, followed by a general NE route.
In regards to I40: if the weather map looks clear for a few days when i travel, will that insure, for the most part, the highway will be clear?

Also, make sure your trailer brakes are adjusted correctly before you hit the road, should be a controller box in the truck that you can set to have the trailer stop the truck, if you havent towed with one with brakes before its kind of weird having the trailer lock up behind you if not correctly adjusted. However when adjusted correctly the trailer will assist stopping the truck nice and smooth.Good luck on your journey.METALMOVER

In regards to I40: if the weather map looks clear for a few days when i travel, will that insure, for the most part, the highway will be clear? I think that's pretty much true for any highway - they'll be cleared and driveable within a day or two of any snowstorm, but can still have icy patches. Then again, being from Phoenix, I'm probably the last person to be giving winter driving advice. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />
