I'm moving back to NYS and was wondering if there are any members who live there or who know about and places to go off-road.

thanks

i grew up in Whitesville NY and went to College in Alfred NY (about an hour from Rochester).. I moved to Coudersport PA when I was a teenager. There is a lot of rural land and dirt/very old country roads in the surrounding areas. To say a specific place- that I don't know. I have done some great snowmobiling in upstate NY. Also years ago did a lot of backpacking. people think of NYC when someone says NY. Not so. I still think of Whitesville NY and Coudersport PA (35min from Whitesville) as my home. When it's snowy I really miss it... When people ask me where i am from I always say "near" Buffalo NY which is about 3hrs North- Closest major city LOL!

No way, Scott, Alfred? I (immediate family and cousins) lived in Hornell for a while back in the earlier 80s. My cousin still outside of town, of up on Pennsylvania Hill. Have gone back a few times to Dansville to camp with my kids at Stony Brook.
