Does anyone know for sure if a grill guard for a 95 montero will fit on a 99 (gen 2.5)?

I suppose not only will it fit, but how difficult will it be to install?

Not sure but I think most on here won't use them because they are primarily cosmetic and will potentially damage your vehicle even more in a slight accident than if you just had bumpers. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Yeah.... I'm just into it for the cosmetics.. but hadn't thought about the additional damage aspect...

what kind of cool mods do people do to the front?

New bumper. ARB, TJM, East Coast Bull Bar are all Austrailian bumper options.

I wanted an even lighter, lower profile option and adapted a smittybilt jeep tube bumper to fit.

Safari Snorkel clone made from fiberglass & sold on ebay by seller rexypow...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mitsubishi-Pajer...a99&vxp=mtr

I went with this because
A) It's significantly cheaper than the original Safari Snorkel unit(<$200 vs >$400)
B) I can more easily repair fiberglass whereas it's not so easy to repair the Safari snorkel which is made of polyethylene.
