Hi Chris,

For everyone's research and experimentation over the years 4inch is the max you can lift your Sporty.

ny more you need to look at SASing the front end.

may I suggest you place 40-50 mm springs in the front and run the extended forks and see how that goes.

Will be finally getting my suspension fitted up next week. Can't wait.

Cheers, Chris

Body Damage is Cool
Chris,
I'll check around and see if I can find a source but I think we are limited. I just don't know how much with a dropped diff.
Could you send me web site and pictures of your forks. I didn't know they were still offered.
Rig is looking good!!!

Check out this article and link to the company's website. The Sportage would definitely fall into the "custom" category...

Hi Chris,

The best place to try for custom drive line bits would have to be Driveline Services. They are all around Australia, so give them a call. I used to deal with the Brisbane guys heaps when I was working for Isuzu trucks, they always knew what they were talking about and pricing was reasonable.

But the most cost effective solution would be to swap the front coils over to 2 inch lift ones, those along with the forks will be plenty sufficient.

Have you considered the 5.38 crownwheel and pinion set you can get from PICORP? Also, they do an adjustable panhard rod to suit the Sportage as well.

1997 Sportage - Extended forks, Dobinsons 2 inch front lift coils, rear Dobinsons TJ lift coils, GME UHF, $8 bullbar (I love eBay!)
2001 HZJ78 Troopcarrier - 2 inch lift, extended shocks, Ex Mine vehicle. Still has yellow reflective stripe! - GONE
2011 Toyota Aurion - For the wife!

Seen the price <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />Most of you would have paid less for your Sporty opposed to buying one of those CV's. 2.5 k <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" /> per side.
