Been staying in contact with Clayton at Chapman Offroad and contacted them awhile back on what kind of setup they were using for their Pajero on their races. He's a great guy and put me in contact with their fab guy.

So far this is what I've gotten. Don't know pricing or any details but thought I'd share my finding and maybe, just maybe, for a sec hope this may be reasonably priced for a future mod.

Right. They're attachments. See the word "Attachment" that's a link in the section above each post? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

That said the ifs system is custom and looks like a long travel setup. If its custom it will be exceptionally expensive... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

I'll ask questions. Doesn't hurt to ask. He'll send me more soon. Curious to see since no one else has a kit for it

I realize not everyone has their own website or such to host images. That's cool. But I'd like to point out that, attachments here appear to be hosted, meaning you can just copy the link and paste it between img tags. For example...

Code
[img]http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/post-images//1276321-image.jpg[/img]

Results in...

It might require an extra step, say, an edit of your original post, but that little effort goes a long way. It's 2013, folks. Time to figure this stuff out. Right click, copy image URL, open img tag, paste, close /img tag, preview to make sure it works. Less effort than shifting into 4H with auto hubs.

Cheers.

Pretty standard stuff, your local offroad race shop can hook you up. that setup will cost about 1500-1800 for axles (RCV), 2500 for a pair of coil overs (fox), 400 for hydraulic bump stops (fox) and around 2500 for the actual suspension arms.

Yes you could shave a few dollars homebrewing it but that's no beginner project.

As i said before Padokku has a kit but it's not as badass as the setup posted above. I think their kit is called Ripple Effect

So educate the uniformed - me <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Wha'st the benefit of the coilover?

To me the biggest draw back of the front suspension is the lack of travel. The coilover is still using the CVs so travel would still be the same ??

That coil over setup is far better than torsion bars, considering the frequent flyer miles that truck is getting. (notice the bump stops as well)

Regardless .. look at the CV - it appears to be a longer one, The idea here is that the longer the A-Arms (extended.. the wider the track and the more travel you can get out of that setup. Shorter CVs and A -Arms create sharper angles, ya know?
