Getting the Wheeling Fever
I am reading up on lifts. I am sitting on an Old Man Em kit with T bars that from what I am reading is about 1.5" in the rear and a torsion bar twist to level it out. What I want to know is if anybody has mixed that with the 2" body lift? They seem to affect different systems so it sounds like it will work with little effort. I am worried about the drive angels. Anybody want to chime in and tell me what I am missing?

Driveline angles aren't affected by the body lift, but at 2" of lift and above, I've heard of minor adjustment of one of the shifters maybe being required.

As far as suspension lift...1.5-2" of lift won't be enough to affect anything adversely.

I have a Gen2, but I've got 1" of body lift and 1.5" of susp lift. I will be adding another inch of body lift ASAP. Though, my clearance is plenty for moderate/difficult crawling/trails as it is. Anything more will be icing on the cake for me...I don't do the super hardcore stuff. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Body Damage is Cool
I've done 3 2" BL and have only had to massage once for the Transfer Case shifting, on one of them. It was preventing it from STAYING in 4WD. When I did the lift and drove it around the neighborhood, it stayed in 4LO just fine. But when I got out playing on the trail, you had to hold it once you started bouncing around.

Ok, thank you. I am on the body lift now. The OME will have to wait till Friday.

Ok, all done. The OME coils gave me 1.25 on the back end and the new OME torsion bars only needed to index up .75. LS did not charge for the front end adjustment, that was cool. I left the front 0.5 lower as per manu rec. I had a little trouble finding the top of the new coils since they have a flat side. Nobody really knew what side was the top but I hope we figured correctly.
