Breaking news from the Montero Ranch!!!!!

When the little girl kitties aren't fixed...

There are now 8 kittens that we'll have to deal with. Any volunteers for a re-homed kitten?

Roll Me Over
I have always been a dog person, never any cats. However, when my first wife died and I remarried, I became a cat person. That cat quickly adopted me but only lived about a year.

Last year we adopted two rescue cats, on successive days. The first was a three year old black cat who fancies herself a Ninja warrior. The second is an old orange cat who barely tolerates the younger one.

It appears that the younger one was taken from her mother too soon as was never properly socialized. She does not give any deference to the older cat.

My wife read a book about getting multiple cats to get along in a single house. The book recommended clothing! Evidently it makes the cat feel more secure. So we have a 4 YO black cat with more outfits than I have. It does seem to work.

We rescued a Rat Terrier a few years back, named Zoey. Did a little research on the breed, and turns out there's greyhound in the genes. Fast as all get-out, and can turn on a dime. She's barked less than a hand full of times, in fact didn't know she could for a couple of months.
Kids and wife brought home 2 cats, twin orange short hairs we call the Pesky brothers. Real names Zippy & Zeus. They're ripping around at full tilt, or asleep.

A few years back had a large orange tabby named Biscuit. Lived 14 years before he became diabetic. Gave him shots for a while, and seemed to be doin OK. Died in his sleep, and I thought I'd never get another. Was a chatty S.O.B. and kids thought I could hold a conversation with him.

Truly a wonder to see a little one's eyes wide when you're conversin' w/ a cat. Especially when he's rattin' em out!

I can still picture my daughter when she was about 4 yr. old, hands on hips tellin me, "Dad, that cat's a liar!"

A five year old grey wolf who thinks she is still lap size, fortunately she is only 56 lbs and not the 165 lbs the last one was.
