Getting the Wheeling Fever
Help!, the vaccum line that goes from the back of the EGR valve area to the device box is blowing air (Positive Pressure), is this correct or is it supposed to have vaccum? It's not the line on the brass part,, Thank you for any info

Should be vacuum.

That port is connected to the exhaust pressure from the egr passage in the head. It's used to close the vacuum regulator valve in the device box, the one with three ports on it, and it goes to the bottom of the VRV.

It doesn't make sense to blow hot exhaust gas through a rubber vacuum line to a plastic valve. Do you have an 87? Maybe someone with a 87 could unplug the line we're talking about and verify if it has vacuum or positive pressure....

I had an 87, long gone. I took that info from the 87 fsm. It's not supposed to make sense, it's mitsu egr controls. And in any case, there won't be any flow thru the line if you hook it back up to where it goes.
